Residential, dementia and respite care, all under one roof on Goddington Road. Whatever stage you're at, there's a way in that fits your family.

Care at Grafton Lodge
Three kinds of care, one home
From a few days' respite to a permanent home, there are three ways we can help, and we'll happily talk through which one fits.
Not sure where to start? Just give us a call.
Residential care
Long-term care for older people who need more help with daily life than they can get at home.
About residential care- Washing, dressing and getting about
- Medication and home-cooked meals
- A bedroom with its own en-suite wet room

Dementia care
Person-centred care for people living with dementia, in a home small enough to feel familiar.
About dementia care- Care planned around each person's routines
- Music, baking, arts and crafts
- Secure gardens and familiar local scenes

Respite care
Short stays while a family carer takes a break, after a hospital stay, or as a trial run.
About respite care- Stays from a few days to a few weeks
- The same care as our permanent residents
- A chance to see if Grafton is right

Also at Grafton Lodge
Support for other needs
Physical disability
Support and accessible rooms for people with physical disabilities, so they can keep as much independence as possible.
Sight and hearing loss
Round-the-clock support for people with sensory impairments, so the home feels familiar and safe.
Palliative care
Comfortable, dignified care towards the end of life in a homely setting, with support for families too.
We're a residential care home, not a nursing home, so we can't look after people with complex medical needs. GPs and district nurses visit when residents need them.
Getting started
How arranging care works.
Taking the first step can feel daunting. It needn't be. Here's what happens, from your first call to moving-in day, with no pressure at any point.
Call 01634 722621Get in touch
Call us or request a call back for a no-pressure chat about your situation. Ask us anything about the home, the care or the fees.
Come and look round
See the home, meet the team and ask your questions in person. Call first and we'll arrange a time that suits you.
Getting to know them
Before anyone moves in, we find out about their health, their routines and what matters to them, so we can plan their care and be sure we're the right home.
Moving in
Bring photos, ornaments and favourite things to make the room their own. We take moving day at your pace, and keep in touch as they settle.
Come and look round
The best way to choose a care home is to see it.
Give us a ring and we'll arrange a time for you to come and look round, or email us and we'll get back to you.
